support@picbutler.comHow does PicButler detect events in my library?
PicButler clusters your photos by creation date and location to find multi-day trips and single-day moments (concerts, dinners, weddings). It uses Apple's Vision framework to suggest a type for short events (e.g. "Concert in Buenos Aires"). All processing happens on your device.
How does PicButler find duplicates and similar photos?
Inside each event, PicButler uses perceptual hashing for exact duplicates and Apple's Vision framework for similar photos. It scores each group by sharpness, lighting, resolution, and face quality, then suggests the best version to keep.
Where do my curated albums live?
PicButler writes each curation as an album in your iOS Photos library titled "PicButler · <event name>". These albums are yours: they sync across your devices through iCloud Photos (if you have it enabled) and stay in Photos even if you uninstall PicButler.
Are my photos deleted permanently?
No. Deleted photos go to the Recently Deleted album in Apple Photos, where they stay for 30 days. You can recover them anytime during that period.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find PicButler and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also manage it from within PicButler in Settings > Manage Subscription.
Does PicButler access my iCloud photos?
PicButler only scans photos stored locally on your device. It does not download originals from iCloud during scanning to avoid using your data or slowing down the process. If you have iCloud Photos enabled, the albums PicButler creates will sync across your devices through Apple's iCloud Photos sync.
