PicButler scans your photo library entirely on your device. It uses perceptual hashing for exact duplicates and Apple's Vision framework for similar photos. Your photos are never uploaded anywhere.
Why does PicButler pick one photo as the "winner"?
For each group of similar photos, PicButler scores them by sharpness, lighting, and resolution. The best one is automatically selected as the keeper, and we explain why so you can make the final call.
Are my photos deleted permanently?
No. Deleted photos go to the Recently Deleted album in Apple Photos, where they stay for 30 days. You can recover them anytime during that period.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find PicButler and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also manage it from within PicButler in Settings > Manage Subscription.
Does PicButler access my iCloud photos?
PicButler only scans photos stored locally on your device. It does not download photos from iCloud during scanning to avoid using your data or slowing down the process.
