PicButler press kit
Free up space. Keep what matters.
What it is
PicButler is your personal photo butler for iPhone. It frees up storage by going through your camera roll with you, month by month: it clears the clutter, helps you keep only the photos you love from every trip and event, and saves them as albums in Apple Photos. Everything stays on your phone.
Why it exists
PicButler started from a discomfort. Photo cleaners are one of the App Store's busiest categories, and many of its top apps charge $7.99 a week, hide the product behind aggressive paywalls and invent urgency. In 2025, security engineer Connor Tumbleson documented two of them charging his grandmother every week, with tracking services running even for paying users.
App Store reviews told the same story: people frustrated by surprise charges and bait-and-switch, who kept paying anyway, because a full iPhone is a real problem. If people pay even for apps that treat them badly, there is room for an honest one: photos analyzed on the device, no ads, a fair price, and an app that explains what it deletes and why. That is PicButler.
